"Every woman wants to be
beautiful and each one of us is beautiful in our own little way.
Belly dancing is one way to accent that beauty!"
Prior to belly dance, Halimah was involved in classical Malay dance when she was in Singapore and Malaysia. She was also a member of a Balinese dance in troupe in Houston. Her other passion is yoga – she’s been practicing yoga for over 20 years and recently completed her teacher training certification. Last, but not least, she also has a passion for gardening! |

"I believe the dance is a
form of spiritual expression and the inspiration comes from
within."
Pat D. started out in a Leisure Learning belly dancing course 14 years ago for exercise and has been a regular student at Sirrom ever since. The music, the energy the dance provides, and the costumes (of course) keep her interested. She would like students to know that anyone can learn to belly dance and they have lots of fun in class. Her favorite dance experience is when a new dance move she is working on comes together. |
Sirrom is located at Weslayan and Bissonnet, in the walkway between Randalls and Walgreens.
