 Improvisational Tribal Stylings with Mahalla Tribal Fusion
Class Description:
Carolena Nericcio is the founder of American Tribal Style Bellydance and the infamous troupe: FatChanceBellyDance in California. Though this class will teach many of the basic moves used in ATS, we will focus mostly on Improvisational Tribal Style Belly Dance and Fusion. We draw our inspiration from many of the big names in ATS/ITS today as well as many up and coming troupes across the USA. Our moves are also inspired by other dance forms such as West African, Flamenco and Classical Indian. Students will learn moves and their corresponding cues used in Mahalla's ITS which will allow for spur of the moment dance numbers. ITS is like having a conversation with your dance sisters/brothers without speaking!
Beginner Bellydance classes are strongly encouraged! (8 wks at least) --there is a beginner belly dance class right before this one!!
