Cassandra founded the dynamic dance troupe Jawaahir (Ja-WA-heer) which means jewels in Arabic, in 1989. She is widely considered one of the premier performers of this ancient art form. Cassandra's animated teaching style in her classes and seminars communicates to students a love and excitement for the dynamic art of Dance Orientale. Cassandra has studied with the major dance artists of the United States as well as Egypt, and continued to study the style interpretation and choreographies of major Egyptian performers and folkloric groups. The love she has for the dance and her dramatic expressions make her performances a visual, musical, and emotional experience in her audiences. She is a dancer's dancer!

Saturday, Cassandra will teach a Spanish fusion routine. Sunday, she will cover combinations and techniques for different rhythms and styles. 

All events will be held at Sirrom.

*Register for either Saturday or Sunday workshop with Cassandra AND the Saturday workshop with Vashti at the same time and receive one Free ticket for each gala show. 

Workshop registration is limited to 30 students each day. Space in the workshop is on a first-come/first-served basis with payment.
